Brushed stainless steel with black trim, built to be used rather than looked at. The Equip range is Morphy Richards straightforward everyday kit: honest materials, the controls where you expect them, nothing you have to learn.
Buying the kettle and the toaster together is mostly about the bench. Two appliances from different ranges never quite agree with each other, and a kitchen bench is a small enough stage that the disagreement shows. These two were designed alongside one another, so the finish, the trim and the proportions match.
The toasters slots take a variable width, so a thin sandwich slice and a thick cut of bread both sit properly against the elements rather than rattling around.
